Many Catholics who are traditionally left wing and liberal often find themselves at odds with many of their non-catholic friends when it comes to key issues like abortion. The  People who once campaigned with them over things like the death penalty now accuse them of being the bad guys. They  make out as if all catholics are sexist, racist and Homophobic just because they believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman.I hope to dispell these misscoceptions and assure my readers that just by being catholic you do not disqualify yourself from being left wing or liberal. As catholics it is our mission to help the poor and fight for social juctice.  Jesus taught to love thy neibour and that is exactly what we are trying to do. To be left wing means to fight for change when it is needed, it does not mean fight for change for the sake of it.  Something in our world are good and some are bad, It is our duty as Catholics to protect the Good and change the bad.In this blog I will try and do just that. Show you why we as Catholics must fight for equality and fairness while also protecting the family and the intrinsic value of human life. We are in our own way isolated, fitting into neither extream. I hope this blog will present that Unique perspective and show that in the true sence Catholics are the only ones who are really left wing.
